To guide students to develop the ability of autonomous learning, solidify their foundation in liberal arts, expand their horizons, establish a harmonious relationship with the world and further realize their potential and become motivated in regard to public service.

Teaching objectives of general liberal arts of the Centereral liberal arts of the Center

The curriculum design aims to cultivate Wenzao students into "healthy, studious, and warmhearted people."

The curriculum design aims to guide students to cross-border, extend, expand and apply what they learn to their life, and to motivate them to participate in society.

Course objectivesctives

Following the value of holistic education and the spirit of "Respect for Nature and Love for Mankind ", the curriculum aims to reach the following goals through history deconstruction, theory integration, meaning interpretation, feeling expression, value judgment, creativity stimulation, sense perception, and aesthetic expression.

1. Exploration and performance of knowledge: To equip students with the ability to explore themselves, understand episteme, performance and life applications of culture, history, artistic aesthetics, and philosophies in various fields.

2. Appreciation and understanding of fine arts: Guide students to understand the values and social contexts of liberal arts and further enrich their minds and lives through an awareness of historical contexts, art appreciation, and logical and creative thinking.

3. Practice and application of skills: to equip students with the ability to grasp the temporal and spatial changes, connect fine arts to life, think critically and creatively and guide students to apply the knowledge of liberal arts to their life through an understanding of historical contexts, multicultural education, art appreciation and creation, innovative creation and ethical judgment.

Course structureture

To equip students with knowledge of literature, history, philosophy and art, the ability to apply their knowledge to life and the five kinds of literacy: time, space, aesthetics, speculation, and creation, the curriculum is categorized into three groups:

1. Courses on cultures, civilizations, history, society and life development

2. Courses on multi perceptions, aesthetic expression, art appreciation

3. Courses on logical reasoning, creative thinking and philosophical reasoning

Teaching objectives of general liberal artsal liberal arts

1. Guide students to do multiple thinking, open their minds, broaden their horizons

2. Equip students with the ability to perceive time and space and grasp historical contexts

3. Guide students to apply liberal arts to their daily life, thereby better perceiving what life is

4. Develop students' ability to appreciate art and raise their aesthetic awareness

5. Cultivate students' abilities for critical thinking, logical reasoning and ethical judgment

6. Stimulate students' abilities of creative thinking and problem solving

Teaching objectives of advanced general educationducation

 

1.Equip students with the ability to integrate historical contexts, aesthetic awareness, ethical judgment, and innovative creation

2. Develop students' ability to cross-border, extend, expand and apply the knowledge they gain in literature, history, philosophy, and art.

3.Enhance students' ability to sharpen and deepen their humanistic thinking, and motivate them to show humanistic care, embrace the aesthetics of living, and be more active in social participation
